Spiced Pumpkin smoothie bowl

Smoothies never get boring when you realise that you can experiment with so many different ingredients. You can sneak vegetable serves into your smoothies and trust me, they still taste amazing. This recipe tastes like a warming, sweet pumpkin pie that you make for dessert – except that its cold and you can have it for any meal of the day and has no added sugar. If you haven’t added steamed and frozen vegetables to your smoothies yet – do you even smoothie?

Serves 1 – GF, V

Ingredients

3 tbsp Greek Yoghurt
2 Tbsp Rolled Oats
1/2 medium Banana
3/4 cup Pumpkin (pre-steamed and frozen)
1/2 cup Water
1/2 Almond Milk
pinch of cinnamon
pinch of nutmeg
pinch of ground ginger
1 cup Ice

Method
1. Place all ingredients in the blender with the water, blend until mixed through and the smoothie is a lovely orange colour.
2. Pour, drink and enjoy!

Note
• You can use any milk you like, and add more or less of the spices as desired as well.
